In this information when we use the words ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our(s)’ we are referring to Walking With Wheels. It is us who control the data that we hold and collect.

This page will give you all the information regarding how we collect, handle and use your data. It will also explain about your rights, what we hold, how we use it, how we collect it and so forth.

Here at Walking With Wheels, we take your privacy very seriously. We will always do our best to provide you with as much information as we can. Any changes that we make to our privacy policies will be updated on here, we will also update the date of last amendment. The date this was last amended is stated at the bottom of this page.  


How do we collect information and data?

Data is collected via three ways. Below we have listed how we collect the data and what is collect from each method.

Joining our mailing list – When you join our mailing list you are choosing to provide us with your email address.

Placing an order – When you place an order, we collect the following data. Name, address, telephone number and email address.

Contact us page – When you contact us via our ‘Contact us’ page we collect your name, email address and the message that you enter.


How do we use the data that we collect?

We use the data that we collect in a variety of different ways, below are the ways in which we use your data.

  • To Personalise your shopping experience.

  • Marketing purposes.

  • Improving customer satisfaction.

  • Improving our website.

  • Internal records

  • For processing competition entries and give away (when applicable).

  • To send customer service and product feedback surveys.

  • Send out information of offers, discount codes, events and new products.

  • Handling orders,

  • Delivery process.

  • Processing payments and refunds.


What is our notification process for policy changes?

When we update and make any changes to our policies, we will notify out customers via a lightbox pop up message on our website detailing that our policy details have been updated. This massage will be available as a pop up for 7-10 days. We will also, have the latest update date changed.


Do we pass your data on to any third parties?

We do need to share your data with some third parties to be able to process your order and arrange delivery.

We currently use an off-site printing facility. We do not pass any personal details to our supplier. The only time we would pass, and personal data is if an item is personalised. For example, if you order one of our hoodie’s and wish for your name and a number on the back. This data will have to be passed to our supplier to complete your order. This is the only form of data that we will pass to our suppliers.

When we are arranging delivery of an order, we will have to pass your personal data to the delivery company. We use Royal Mail for our delivery services. The information that we have to pass to them is your name and address. However, if you would like an order processed quicker then our standard delivery, we may use an alternative delivery company. You will be notified on who we are using on a case by case basis.

We do not sell your data to anyone. If you ever receive contact from anyone stating that they were passed your information from us, please do let us know immediately so we can deal with this.


Under the Data Protection Act 2018 you the customer have the following rights. Below each of the rights listed below, we have provided details on how you can action them.

  • You have the right to access any of the data that we hold on you.

If you wish to access/view the data we hold for you, please contact us via our contact us page and we will arrange for the data we hold on you to be sent within 10 working days.

  • You have the right to have your data updated at any time.

This includes a change of name, updating contact details anything that we hold on you that is out of date, you can request for it to be updated. If you would like your information updated at any time, please contact us with the changes you would like made. We will update your details within 10 working days, we will then contact you back to confirm once its updated.

  • You have the right to request that your data is removed.

To request for your data to be removed from our system, please contact us and we will remove it within 10 working days. We will then email you over a copy of all the data we have for you, prior to it being removed. We will also email you to confirm that the data has been removed from our system.

  • You have the right to request that we stop using your data for certain things.

As well as you having the right to have your data removed (as listed above), you can also request that we do not use your data for certain things. For example, you can request that we do not use your data for marketing purposes. You can quickly and easily remove yourself from our mailing list. At the bottom of all our marketing emails is a button to unsubscribe. If you are unsure how to do this, or you want us to not use your data for anything else please contact us and we will work with you.

  • You have the right to data portability.

This means that you have the right to request a copy of all the data that we hold for you to pass onto another business/organisation. To request this please contact us, we will send this out to you within 10 working days.
